Initialled TSF and dated 1772 in blue, attributed to Pals Karsten (c. 1723-1776), Buiten de Kerkpoort (Beyond the Church Gate) Factory
The pear-shaped body painted on the front below the pierced money slot with a pair of crested birds amidst lush flowering plants growing from a stylised rock on the reverse, the three-tiered top painted with two bands of scrollwork and one of dashes around the bell-shaped finial, the lower body with a border of scallops and scrolls, and the bell-shaped foot with a border of petal devices above concentric lines around the footrim.
