• D1846. Pair of Polychrome Models of Shoes

Delft, circa 1765

Each painted on the blue-dotted pale blue ground with a large iron-red and yellow owerhead and several small iron-red, manganese and yellow flowerheads and green leaves beneath a molded manganese dotted yellow buckle fastened to a dark blue strap, and a blue-edged sole continuing around the arch and edges of the heel.

Lengths: 12.8 and 12.1 cm. (5 and 4.8 in.)
