Painted with a long-tailed fabulous beast beside peonies growing behind a pierced rock within a central roundel surrounded by two oval panels of a bird perched on a flowering branch above banded hedges alternating with two shaped panels of flowers and insects, all reserved on the blue ground amidst chrysanthemum blossoms and gilt foliage.
